St. Alia of the Knife CD RE NA CGC TT

"Alia"

May 8, 2007 - July 3, 2012

I have always dreamed of competing in obedience and agility and as I experience more and more of it, I love it.  Luckily, I have a dog that feels the same way.

Alia is my first dog and she's been the perfect first dog.  She learns very quickly and is very forgiving of handler mistakes.  She has an abundant amount of energy with decent food drives and excellent prey drives that I can channel on to her ball.  She settles down easily (an understatement - she's usually sleeping on my couch) in the house and lives easily with her cats.

I never expected to be doing all the things that I am with Alia.  I was pushed into Rally Obedience after Alia passed her CGC test and have not looked back since.  Our goal is to obtain every title we can and have fun doing it.

In April 2012, Alia started experience panic attacks, noise phobias and severe separation anxiety.  Despite medication, vet care and a behaviorist, Alia continued to decline fast.

On July 3, 2012 the decision was made to release Alia from her demons.  It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do and I will never stop missing my big-headed, bald Alia girl.
